Girl Scouts have begun collecting new or good used school supplies

Decorah Senior Girl Scout Troop 253  is conducting a Community Service Project  to collect new or good used school supplies.

Donations collection boxes have been distributed to Decorah churches and banks, as well as to Donlons and The Family Table.  The public can use the donation boxes through August 30th.

The Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation's Family Service program will distribute the donated items.  Cash donations or supplies also can be dropped off or sent to NEICAC's Winneshiek County Family Service office in the basement of the Smith Building in Decorah.   Donations will be accepted after August 30th at this location.
