One of the best Nordic Fests yet? Could be!

No statistics are ever kept about Nordic Fest attendance, so it's impossible to say with certainty how one Nordic Fest compares with others.

But 2014Nordic Fest Board President Randy Schissel says this year's Fest was "one of the better ones."  Having good weather is the key to having a good Nordic Fest and in that respect "We were very blessed."

Schissel says crowds came out early on Thursday afternoon and stayed through Thursday night opening ceremonies.  Attendance was so strong that most food booths ran out of food by Saturday afternoon, even though they had ordered more food this year than they did last year.

Schissel says Nordic Fest itself was helped by strong merchandise sales during the Fest.  He says lefse sales also went well.
