Decorah man arrested on assault charges

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Decorah man on domestic abuse aggravated assault charges.

Deputies say they were called to the home of 35-year-old Andrew King at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday after a 9-1-1 call was placed from the residence.

The assault victim was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center, where she was treated for injuries and released.  King was taken into custody on the charges.
