Letter to the Editor: Thanks, Decorah, for more than half a century of support

(Mark Rogers has sold his ownership of the JC Penney's building in Decorah to Decorah businessman Stan Fullerton.  He sent these comments to decorahnews.com):

"The building has been owned by our family since approximately 1952!  The building was purchased on or around 1952 by my grandparents, Gene and Louise Wimmer.  We have been proud to be associated with the downtown since then. 

It was with great regret that we tested the waters by putting the building on the market.  We will greatly miss that connection we have had for over half a century with beautiful downtown Decorah.  JC Penney has been a wonderful presence in the downtown for years and years and will continue to be!"
