Yes, as a matter of fact, it WAS rainy in Decorah in June

Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz says Decorah received 8.65 inches of rain during June.  That's nearly four inches more than usual.

There were 17 days with measurable precipitation in Decorah, including an eight-day stretch from June 15th through June 22nd when precipitation was recorded for seven of the days--totaling nearly five and a half inches--or more rain in eight days that the normal monthly precipitation average of 4.68 inches.

Compared with 118 other Junes for which data was kept, only seven Junes were wetter--although June of 2008 recorded 14.10 inches of rain.

Normally rainfall brings with it cooler temperatures, but the average temperature in Decorah in June was 70.1 degrees--2.1 degrees warmer than normal.
