Trails from Freeport receives a $10,000 donation

Members of the Trails From Freeport board on Thursday announced a significant donation from Decorah Bank & Trust.

The bank is presenting the trails group with a check for $10,000, bringing its total support for the project to $20,000.

Bids on construction of the bike trail will be opened in Ames next month.  Construction will begin this summer, with an expected completion date of May or June of next year.
