Nordic Fest Antique Show will not be held this year

The Nordic Fest Board has decided not to hold a Nordic Fest Antique Show this year after a volunteer could not be found to run the show.

As discussed in a 2012 decorahnews.com story, the antique show had been attracting good crowds in recent years--but fewer sales for exhibitors.  Antique dealers told decorahnews.com that the Internet has had a big impact on their sales, becoming more important than antique shows.

Five private antique dealers in Decorah are planning their our "Antique Trail" during Nordic Fest to attract people who might miss attending the NOrdic Fest Antique Show.  Antiques on Shady Lane, Boarding House Antiques, Lower Level Antiques, Just Precious Vintage and Simply Antiques are joining together to print a map of their locations and to promote antique sales during Nordic Fest.
