Flash Flooding Warning in effect until 1:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has extended a Flash Flood Warning for Winneshiek County until 1:30 this afternoon.

Three to five inches of rain have already fallen in Northeast Iowa, with an additional one to two inches of precipitation possible this morning.

Flash flooding is already being reported in portions of Northeast Iowa.  Flood waters are moving down the Yellow River from Ossian to Volney.  Flood waters are also moving down the Turkey River from Fort Atkinson to Elkader.

The National Weather Service is asking the public to report any flooding to local law enforcement agencies, once you can do so safely.
