Several Winneshiek County 4-Hers qualify for the Iowa State Fair

Several Winneshiek County 4-Her's have qualified for the Iowa State Fair after participating in Clothing, Food and Nutrition projects and a variety of Communication projects.

Chosen in the "Working Exhibits" category were Daniel Schwartzhoff and Keagan Einck, Lukas Phillips, Maddie and Micala Kuennen, Ashely Schwartzhoff and Marissa Foels. (Alternates: Kylie Darrington and Hanna, Jessica, and Amy Schmitt).  Ashley Kurash and Logan Brincks were chosen in the Clothing category, with Nicole Schmitt selected as the alternate.

The $15 Challenge was won by Nicole Schmitt, while Ashley Schwartzhoff finished first in the Fashion Revue.

In Extemporaneous Speaking, Logan Brincks and Nicole Schmitt were chosen to go to the State Fair, while Daiton Tietz and Ashley Kurash were chosen as alternates.

Selected in the "Clothing and Fashion and Sewing and Needle Arts" category were Emily Luzum, Kamryn Langreck, Marissa Foels, Kaitlyn Schnitzler, and Alyssa Hanson (Alternates: Kaytlan Langreck and Abby Moen)

Educational Presentations selected for the State Fair were done by Rylea Ranum, Hanna Schmitt, Nathan Herold, Olivia Massman, Everett Wegge, and Logan Brincks (Alternate: Marssa Foels)

Finally, in the "Share the Fun" category, Stacia Sexton (piano), Jenna Schmitt (flute), Nicole, Hanna, Jenna, Jessica Schmitt, and Emily Luzum (Let it go Sign) (Alternates: Everett Wegge (tenor sax solo) and Danae Taylor (guitar and solo) were selected.
