Another telemarketing scam is making the rounds

Another telemarketing scam has been aiming for Winneshiek County victims.

Phone callers identifying themselves as calling from the subscription department of a national magazine have told residents they are behind in their payment for the magazine. 

The real object of the scammers is to get someone's credit card number.  Police say that no matter how convincing a phone caller sounds, NEVER give out your financial information over the phone.
