Openings on the Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees?

This fall voters will cast ballots to determine three spots on the Board of Trustees of Winneshiek Medical Center.

The terms of Rick Burras, Ben Wyatt and Clark Goltz will expire, leaving the three to determine whether they will seek another six-year term.

Wednesday night Burras announced that he had been contacted by Wyatt, who was not at Wednesday night's meeting, and Wyatt had indicated he would not seek re-election.

Burras and Goltz both say they have not made a decision yet whether they will seek re-election.

Candidates for the hospital board will need to file nomination papers at the Winneshiek County Courthouse by August 27th.
