Ask Mr. Answer Person: "When will Locust Road (Minnesota County 8) reopen?"

Brian e-mails Mr. Answer Person: "All winter and most of last fall, Locust Road was closed to through traffic. When will this project be completed?"

Mr. Answer Person says: "Actually, the work is being done in MInnesota, where Locust Road goes by the name of "County HIghway 8."

You might be a little disappointed in this answer, but the truth is that wet soils that were encountered throughout the project and the late-arriving spring have put the project behind schedule.

Another Brian--Houston County Engineer Brian Pogodzinski--says "Assuming that the weather is decent, I am anticipating that the roadway will be reopened in mid-August with a gravel surface."
