Schroeder a no-show at sentencing hearing

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Burr Oak resident Mark Schroeder for failing to appear in court Tuesday for sentencing on three criminal charges.

Schroeder had earlier accepted a plea agreement in a case involving one count of third degree burglary for a break-in at Silver Springs Golf Course in Ossian last July and two counts of second degree theft for taking material from Voltmer Electric in Decorah.

Sentencing in the case had been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Winneshiek County Courthouse--but Schroeder did not show up.  A judge has issued a warrant for Schroeder's arrest, setting bond at $10,000 cash.
