Alliant Energy regional representative Jim Collins told Decorah City Council members on Monday night that the utility has $500,000 worth of infrastructure improvements planned for this summer.  The work will involve replacing and upgrading existing Alliant facilities.

Collins also praised Decorah for its commitment to energy efficiency.  He said Alliant issued 476 rebates for energy improvement projects in Decorah last year.  And he said between homeowner solar energy installations and Luther's solar energy facility on Pole Line Road, Decorah "has the most solar projects of any city in the state."
