Charges are pending following police investigation into stolen property

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it conducted several searches on Sunday in an investigation into some stolen property.

The sheriff's department was joined by the Decorah Police Department, Cresco Police Department, Howard County Sheriff's Department and the Winneshiek County Attorney's Office.

Searches were conducted in Chester and at three rural Cresco addresses.  Stolen property was located and recovered.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says charges are pending in the case.  The police investigation is continuing as well.
