The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary has purchased an adjustable x-ray table to benefit WMC patients in the Radiology department.

The table can move up and down, side to side, and front to back to accommodate the individualized needs of each patient.  Also, x-rays are able to penetrate the table, allowing images to be taken from underneath.

Getting an x-ray taken when a patient is in acute pain can be uncomfortable, so the new adjustable table will allow patients to lie in whatever position is comfortable--and still have an x-ray taken.

During the past year, the WMC Auxiliary donated $31,000 to the hospital--allowing it to purchase a NuStep for the Calmar Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Clinic; a hydraulic stretcher for the Med-Surg department; four vital signs monitors for the Emergency, Same Day Services and Med-Surg departments; and two pulse oximeters and thermometers each for the Clinic.
