New permanent Chief Administrative Office at Winneshiek Medical Center should begin work late fall/early winter

Posted: Thu, May 15, 2014 3:09 PM

Advertising for a new Chief Administrative Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center will begin soon.  An updating of the job description should be wrapped up in a day or two.  Then the job description will be posted internally in the Mayo system.  Additional advertising is being considered.

Once the opening has been publicized, applications will be taken for about one month.  That means a search committee will begin the screening process in July.

The search committee will have 10 members—three members of the Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees, two Decorah physicians selected by Mayo Clinic Health Systems, WMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Flinchbaugh, two upper level WMC administrators, Mayo Clinic Health Systems—La Crosse Chief Administrative Officer Joe Kruse and Mayo Clinic Health Systems—La Crosse  Chief Executive Officer Dr. Timothy Johnson.

The search committee is charged with presenting "at least three candidates" to the Winneshiek Medical Center Board of Trustees.
