North Winneshiek School Board handles personnel matters

The North Winneshiek School Board tackled a number of personnel issues at its monthly meeting Monday.

Superintendent/Principal Tim Dugger will receive a three-year contract extension and a 3.78 percnet salary increase for the 2014-2015 school year.  His salary for next year will be $99,369.

The board approved a 3.78 percent salary increase for support staff for next school year.  The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates, and a nurse.  The percent increase is the same as what the teachers received.

The board approved the resignations of Cristy Nimrod and Carole Sand.  After 22 years at North Winneshiek, Cristy Nimrod will be teaching 9-12 PE at the Decorah High School next school year.   After 16 years at North Winneshiek, Carole Sand will be teaching 5-8 talented and gifted at the Decorah Middle School.    
 
The board also approved a $2,500 summer recreation director's contract for Matt Amundson, as well as a $1,000 athletic directors' contract.

Lisa Barth will be paid $2,250 as the district's curriculum leader next school year.  She also teaches 3rd grade. 
 
Kris Bigler will be paid $2,250 as the district's testing coordinator/data leader next school year.  She also teaches 5th grade
