Decorah HS band gets perfect scores at State Large Group Music Contest

Decorah High School musical groups did well at the weekend's State Large Group Music Festival, with five "Superior" ratings.

Friday night's events were held at Decorah High School, where the Decorah Wind Ensemble received not just a Division I Superior ratings, but perfect scores from all three judges.  The Symphonic Band received a Division II rating, the Ninth Grade Choir a Division II rating, the Viking Chorus a Division I Superior rating and the Concert Choir a Division I Superior rating,

The Large Group Musical Festival moved to Cedar Falls High School on Saturday.  There the Philharmonia earned a Division I Superior rating and the Symphony Strings also a Division I Superior rating.
