Run a mile and have a beer--in each of Iowa's 99 counties

Zach Steele turned 30 on Sunday.  He also successfully wrapped up his project to run a mile and drink a beer in each of Iowa's 99 counties by the age of 30--just making it by visiting Dallas County on Saturday.

The project took 16 months.  He has been posting pictures and stories about his adventure, saying Decorah was one of his favorite stops during the project because "the geography there is like no other."

On his Tumblr page (http://rundrinkiowa.tumblr.com) Steele says he visited Decorah last October.  "I pulled into Decorah late in the evening on Friday and checked into my glamorous Super 8 on the outskirts of town, grabbed some sushi and made my way to Toppling Goliath."  Steele had sampled TG beer in Iowa City, so he was looking forward to visiting the source.

Saturday morning he went for a run in Palisades Park and enjoyed the views of Decorah, "made all the more beautiful by the changing colors of the leaves."  After visiting Ice Cave, Steele left Decorah--crossing another of Iowa's 99 counties off his list.
