The Decorah Public Library has added another American Girl doll to its collection.
Decorah residents Dave and Candace Arp have donated "Kirsten Larson," the first of the American Girl dolls, to the library. Kirsten, to be checked out to young patrons aged 8 years and older, is dressed in period clothing from 1854. The doll can be checked out for 3 weeks with no renewal. Doll clothes and accessories for Kirsten are also available. Children must have a Decorah Public Library card with no fines or overdue materials.
Kirsten joins five other dolls available for check-out: Kaya, Kit, Marie-Grace, Felicity and Elizabeth. Questions regarding the American Girl dolls may be directed to children's librarian, Sally Stromseth, at the library by calling 563-382-3717 or by email: childrens@decorah.lib.ia.us.
