The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to seven local students pursuing health care professions.

Receiving Auxiliary scholarships were Stephanie Farley, Sharese Van Sloten and Elyse Schnitzer, all attending University of Iowa; Carmen Krivachek, attending Independence University; and Lexi Dietzenbach, Kalissa Kramer and Jada Bahls-Kargalskiy, all attending NICC.

For the second year, the Auxiliary awarded the Helena Naef scholarship in addition to the Health Career Scholarship.  The 2014 Helena Naef scholarship was awarded to Sharese Van Sloten.

The Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary offers their annual Health Career Scholarship to residents of Winneshiek County pursuing a health care profession.  The applicant must be accepted into an accredited health career program to be eligible.  Proceeds from the Auxiliary's bakeless bake sale, spring brunch and holiday cookie sale went toward the 2014 scholarship fund.
