As decorahnews.com reported on April 23rd (http://www.decorahnews.com/news-stories/2014/04/8019.html), friends of Chris Norton have launched a drive to help him get a $50,000 credit towards a specially modified van that would allow him to drive to rehab sessions and speaking appointments.
Now that campaign is getting some statewide help. The Des Moines Register on Thursday published a front page article (http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/2014/05/01/chris-norton-walk-luther-graduation/8549575/)
about Norton and the contest sponsored by The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association.
The article by the Register includes a link to the NMEDA contest, which should get Norton even more votes. The NMEDA is holding on-line voting through next Friday, May 9th. People finishing in the top ten percent of all entries will then be eligible for one of the four $50,000 prizes to be awarded.
