Winneshiek County Emergency Management Coordinator Bruce Goetsch wants the county to look down the road at its future needs for office space.
Goetsch met Monday with Winneshiek County supervisors, telling them "We're going to need space." Goetsch suggested supervisors should be considering building a new facility on the county-owned land in Freeport. He said the additional space would be used not only by Emergency Management, but by the County Engineer's Office, Winneshiek County Public Health and other county departments.
Goetsch urged supervisors to bring together the various county officials whose departments might need additional space. "We have to get together around the table," he said.
