decorahnews.com was the first to report that the University of Iowa's new Mobile Museum would travel to Decorah this spring.  Now we can disclose the particulars about the museum's visit.

The University of Iowa's Museum of Natural History says the Mobile Museum will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot behind Preus Library on the Luther College campus.  The mobile museum's visit is being coordinated with the annual convention of Iowa archeologists.

University of Iowa Museum of Natural History Associate Director Trina Roberts tells decorahnews.com the museum will have three exhibits--a collection of Iowa fossils as part of a display on "Ice Age Giants," an exhibit about the Glenwood Culture, who lived in Western Iowa over seven centuries ago, and an exhibit on the history of the founding of Iowa.

"You'de be surprised how much you can get in it," she tells decorahnews.com of the mobile museum.  The museum is free and open to the public on Saturday.
