Engineering consultant may be hired to make recommendations about Decorah Pool repairs

The Decorah Parks & Recreation Department may hire an engineering consultant to figure out what repairs are needed to the Decorah Municipal Swimming Pool.

The Decorah Municipal Swimming Pool needs some expensive repairs, according to figures presented to members of the Decorah Parks & Recreation Board.

The list of potential improvements at the pool includes replacing the boiler, updating the mechanical system, fixing leaks in the roof, fixing foundation issues and replacing the existing slide.

Decorah Parks and Recreation Board members want to get a professional to study the pool and make recommendations how the Parks Department should proceed.
