All three events will be held at the Winneshiek County Recycling Center at 2510 172nd Avenue in Decorah.  The household hazardous waste collection will run from 9:00 a.m. until noon, while the other two events will run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The hazardous waste collection is intended for poisons, pesticides, weed killers, oil-based paints and mercury thermometers.

The document shredding will be done with the help of the Iowa Senior Medicare Patrol.  A big shredder will be set up all day.

It will cost people $10 per appliance to recycle them and $20 per tube TV or computer monitor.  The fees can been prepaid at Decorah City Hall or on April 26th at the recycling center.
