Dr. Robert Flinchbaugh has been appointed to serve as the next Chief Medical Officer at Winneshiek Medical Center.
Dr. Flinchbaugh currently practices family medicine in Kasson, Minnesota. He also holds the position of Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester. He served as the program director for Mayo Clinic's Family Medicine Residency Program for more than 10 years.
Dr. Flinchbaugh is a graduate of Baylor University. He obtained his medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency with the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Flinchbaugh is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He will begin his new administrative role on a part-time basis in May; his start date for seeing patients in Decorah will be announced at a later time.
Flinchbaugh succeeds WMC Interim Chief Medical Officer Dr. Steven Davis, who will continue full-time as a general surgeon in Decorah and Waukon.
