Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission endorses rewrite of city's zoning codes

The Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission is asking the Decorah City Council to pay for a rewrite of the city's zoning ordinances.
The previous rewriting took place 21 years ago. Members of the Planning & Zoning Commission say they can think of at least six areas of the city's zoning code that might need new language.
Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission staffers would handle the zoning code rewrite--if the request gets approved by the Decorah City Council.
