North Winneshiek School Board approves 2014-2015 budget

Following a public hearing Monday, the North Winneshiek School Board approved a 2014-2015 budget for the district.

The property tax levy rate will be $14.77 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.  That makes this coming school year the fifth year in a row the levy rate will have remained the same in North Winneshiek.  The total levy will generate $1,943,810 in property taxes for the school district.
 
The North Winneshiek School District's valuation increased from $118,520,095 to $131,570,669, which is a 10 percent increase in the overall property value in the district from last year.
