Decorah Mayor Don Arendt signs proclamation for Arbor Day

Decorah Mayor Don Arendt has signed an official proclamation that the city of Decorah will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 25th.

The proclamation urges Decorah residents to plant tress and maintain trees as a way to ensure a more beautiful Decorah.

The Decorah Tree Board is again providing vouchers for the purchase of boulevard trees at Ladybug Landscaping and Henzler's.  Vouchers are also available online at http://www.decorahia.org/pdf/2013tree.pdf

Members of the Tree Board will be on hand to answer questions about tree planting and care at the Earth Day Celebration in downtown Decorah on Tuesday, April 22nd, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Everyone is encouraged to register for a free tree.
