A court hearing has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. May 27th for 51-year-old Amy Downing of Decorah, who has told a judge she would like to change her plea to three criminal charges filed following a police investigation into an alleged meth lab in Decorah.
Downing faces charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Class C felony; Possession of Pseudoephedrine, A Drug Precursor, a Class D felony; and Possession of Lithium, a Drug Precursor, a Class D felony.
Downing had been scheduled to go on trial April 30th on the charges, but instead she will return to court May 27th for a plea hearing.
On Thursday, December 12th, Decorah Police raided the house at 2474 Dogwood Road and said they found evidence of a previous meth lab operation. They returned to the house on December 27th and allegedly again found evidence of meth production.
