Pysanky is the ancient Ukrainian art of egg decorating which uses a wax-resistance method to produce Easter eggs noted for their intricate geometric patterns.
Registration ends Tuesday for a Thursday evening class at NICC Calmar that will teach the traditional method of making the Ukranian eggs.
The class from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m; Thursday in room 106 of the NICC Calmar Wilder Business Center will also teach the history of this unique folk art and the symbolism behind the colors and markings. All ages welcome. Materials are included in the class fee.
