North Winneshiek School Board and teachers reach tentative contract agreement

The North Winneshiek Education Association and the North Winneshiek School District have reached a tentative agreement on a contract for the 2014-2015 school year.

The agreement calls for an $800 base salary schedule increase, which makes the new base amount $30,900.  The total package increase is 3.78 percent.
 
The school district will provide teachers with a $1,000 deductible health insurance plan which includes office visit and drug co-pays.  Teachers will also continue to receive single dental insurance, life insurance, accidental death/dismemberment and long term disability, with the school district paying the costs
 
The North Winneshiek school board must approve this agreement at it April 14th meeting and the North Winneshiek Education Association must approve this agreement at their next meeting.
