Iowa State Patrol responds to accident involving Decorah teen

A Decorah teenager has been ticketed for failing to obey a stop sign, following a two-car crash on HIghway 52 at County A-14 on Monday morning.

18-year-old Trent Tweten was stopped at a posted stop sign traveling east on Winneshiek County A-14.  Tweten pulled out from the stop sign into the path of a car driven by 40-year-old Jennifer Seigenthaler of Waukon.  Both units collided near the middle of the intersection.

Tweten, Seigenthaler and a passenger in Tweten's vehcile, 18-year-old Jada Brunsvold, were injured in the accident and taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicles.  The accident caused $10,000 in damages.
