A group called "Iowa Interfaith Power & Light" has announced plans to hold a workshop later this month in Decorah that will discuss how our food practices contribute to climate change and how our faith calls us to respond with practical solutions.
The "Food, Faith, and Climate" program will be held Saturday, April 12th, at First Lutheran Church in Decorah, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the workshop running from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The program will include tips on how to look at your household's food practices and create a plan to make more climate-friendly choices. The workshop will be followed by lunch and a tour of Seed Savers Exchange and a tour of a local farm.
The cost for the event is $35, including lunch from the Oneota Community Food Cooperative. For more information contact Susan Guy at director@iowaipl.org On-line registration can be made here..
