A Calmar man has been ticketed for failure to maintain control of his vehicle after his truck was found abandoned in Trout Run Creek on Sunday.
21-year-old Josiah Casterton contacted the Decorah Law Enforcement Center to report the accident. His truck had been found partially submerged in Trout Run Creek around 8:00 a.m. Sunday. Police, firefighters, first responders and other emergency services workers searched the stream and the surrounding area, but could not find Casterton.
Sheriff's deputies say Casterton's truck was a total loss.
