Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association honors two from Decorah High School

The Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association has recognized Decorah High School student Bryce Pierce and Decorah High School Activities Director Adam Riley.

Riley was named High School Athletic Director of the Year for the Northeast Iowa District by his colleagues.

Pierce has been chosen the recipient of the organization's scholarship for its male student/athlete of the year.  Pierce will complete his athletic career with 10 varsity letters in four sports. Among those four sports he has been named team captain, all district, all state, and academic all state. He has been a state champion in football and golf.  He has been a letter winner in Speech and Drama and has earned Decorah High School's academic letter, as well as being inducted into the National Honor Society.

Bryce will now be a candidates for the Midwest regional award of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.  Regional winners become eligible for the national award.  Pierce will attend Luther College this fall.
