Opening of Pulpit Rock Campground delayed because of frost

Here's another sign it's been a long, hard winter.  The Decorah Parks & Recreation Department says Pulpit Rock Campground will not open on its scheduled opening date of April 1st.

The deep frost level in the ground is to blame for the postponement, since the frost has made it impossible to start water service in the campground.

With somewhat warmer weather predicted in the future, Park-Rec officials are hoping the campground can open in a week or two.
