Luther College planning to spend over $1 million on new baseball and softball fields

Luther College has begun raising money for new softball and baseball stadiums that will cost over $1 million.

The college says it wants to build "best-in-the-league" stadiums.

The proposed stadiums will be located on the sites of the current playing fields.  Both stadiums would feature safety screens behind home plate; covered canopy areas on the upper level; and press box facilities.

The baseball stadium will seat over 300 spectators, while the softball stadium will seat 200+ spectators.
