UPDATED WITH PHOTOS: Fire damages the Old Frankville Store

Firefighters were called to the Old Frankville Store on Monday night when a 9-1-1 caller spotted flames coming through the roof of the building around 10:15.  Firefighters from Frankville, Postville, Castalia, Ossian and Decorah responded to the call.

Damage to the building appears intensive, with the greatest damage in the rear of the building.  At mid-morning a few firefighters remained on the scene.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.  No damage estimate is available.  Firefighters were assisted by the Frankville Ambulance, Alliant Energy and Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department.
