The Downtown Decorah Betterment Association was officially formed in April of 1973.  Former clothing store owner Rich Amundson has been at the center of the DDBA's work since that time.

On Wednesday morning at the Hotel Winneshiek, Amundson gave a recap of the issues downtown Decorah has faced since the early 1970s--and the steps DDBA has taken to improve downtown.

At the end of his speech, Amundson--who has now left the DDBA Board--was honored by the DDBA.  DDBA outgoing president Ross Hadley read the long list of accomplishments by Rich and thanked Amundson for all his contributions to the health of downtown Decorah.
