For the first time the Glass Art Society is hosting its annual conference in Chicago--and Decorah artist Kelly Ludeking will be one of the featured artists.

Ludeking will be conducting two demonstrations Wednesday at West Supply in Chicago, at its foundry and glassworks facility.  The company says it is inviting "world-class glass artists" to give demonstrations and lectures.  The conference events Wednesday are free and open to the public.

Kelly Ludeking will be doing a sand mold demonstration at noon, then will switch to doing a glassblowing demonstration at 1:00 p.m.

West Supply says it will have live demonstrations throughout the day Wednesday in both the company's glass and metal departments.  The glass shop demonstrations will include blown glasswork, casting and hot sculpting. The metal foundry will be showcasing bronze and aluminum pouring.
