Traffic accident leads to drunk driving arrest

Decorah Police were called to the Bluffs Inn on Monday afternoon to investigate a traffic accident--and wound up making a drunk driving arrest.

Police say 66-year-old Roger Dunlap of Decorah struck a parked truck owned by Gary Hubka of Decorah.  When Hubka told Dunlap he was contacting police, Dunlap drove off.  Police found Dunlap at the Quillin's parking lot and determined he was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol count of 0.213.

Police ticketed Dunlap not just for having an expired registration and having no insurance, but for first offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
