Decorah received one of the heavier amounts of snowfall Wednesday

The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse says Decorah's Wednesday morning snowfall was one of the heaviest in the region.

While La Cross received just two inches of snow and some NE Iowa towns received even less than that, Decorah's snowfall totals ranged from 7.5 inches to 8.0 inches.
Only two places had higher snowfall totals.  A weather station northwest of Waukon recorded 8.8 inches of snowfall, while Austin, Minnesota had 11.5 inches of snow.
