Paul Scott comment: Luther search committee seems to have gotten it right this time

While others in Decorah rush to show off their Luther class rings, I'm happy to point out my ignorance about the college.  I'm a graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.  I also can't distinguish between Missouri Synod, Wisconsin Synod and ELCA.

So I fit the definition of "outside observer."  Which means my opinion that Dr. Paula Calrson seems like she would make a good Luther College president probably doesn't mean much.

Come to think of it, why don't you just form your own opinion?  Here--thanks to the news staff at decorahnews.com, which found this link--you can watch Dr. Carlson as she spoke Monday at chapel services at St. Olaf.  Something tells me that knowing how to sing Lutheran hymns certainly won't disqualify her as the 10th Luther College president--but that's just an outsider talking!
