A Clermont woman skidded into the back of a stopped car on Montgomery Street Monday afternoon, causing $4,000 in damages.
Decorah Police say 22-year-old Jenna Siebrecht told them she was traveling south on Montgomery Street, passing the Winneshiek Medical Center entrance, when she looked down. When she looked back up, she realized the other cars in front of her had stopped. She applied the brakes, but skidded into the back of a car driven by 33-year-old James Bruns of Decorah.
Neither driver was injured. Siebrecht was not ticketed.
