Lots of North Winneshiek and Decorah winners in Old Creamery Theater's 2014 Writing Contest

North Winneshiek School 5th grader Steven Sexton has been named the Grand Prize Winner in the 2014 Old Creamery Theater Writing Contest for his story, "The New Duck."

Eight other North Winneshiek or Decorah student groups were also recognized by the theater company, with many of the students qualifying to have their plays performed by the Old Creamery Theater during their 2014 school tour, "Count Me In!"

First Prize Winners in the contest were Decorah Middle School 5th grader Cady Peterson for his story, "The Pilot," and Carrie Lee Elementary School 4th graders Robyn Dayton and Ruby Sullivan for their story, "Birch and Maple."

Second Prize Winners were North Winneshiek School 5th grader Maria Hendrickson for her story, "The Three Billy Goats Sampson," and Decorah Middle School 5th grader Noah Lovelace for his story, "The Cookie Buddies."

Third Prize Winners were Carrie Lee Elementary School 3rd grader Rebecca Anderson for her story, "Bob," North Winneshiek School 4th grader Tyler Bullerman for his story, "The "Pig-tastic" Adventures of Porkchop and Bacon," Carrie Lee Elementary School 4th graders Larsson Shockey, Emmit Stemper and Adrian Huang for their story, "Dragon Bully," and North Winneshiek School 4th grader Emily Carolan for her story, *Lunch Ladies."
