Newly-named Fareway CEO has ties to Decorah

The new Chief Executive Officer of Fareway Stores is someone with several ties to Decorah.

45-year-old Reynolds W. Cramer last week was named chief executive officer of Fareway Stores Inc. by the company's Board of Directors.  Cramer becomes just the fourth person to serve as chief executive in the company's 76-year history.

Cramer is a Luther College graduate.  While in Decorah he worked at the Fareway store in the meat department for three years.

After graduating from Luther, he has worked at several other Fareway stores, including jobs as assistant manager and manager, then working as as regional vice president and executive vice president in charge of retail operations at Fareway's corporate offices in Boone.
