A change in the track of a "monster blizzard" has sent warmer-than-expected temperatures into Winneshiek County, meaning Thursday's precipitation fell as rain up until 4:00 p.m.
The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse has lowered its snowfall forecast for Decorah to just over four inches. However, the temperature in Decorah has been stuck at 36 degrees since 2:30 a.m.--meaning the precipitation would come as rain instead of as snow.
